🚨 Community Safety Alert: Increase in Acquisitive Crime Across the District 🚨 |
||
|
Good morning Resident
We have recently seen an increase in acquisitive crime across the district, particularly involving the theft of Quad bikes, motorcycles, and Residential burglaries.
Quad bikes and motorcycles continue to be attractive targets for offenders due to their value and ease of transportation. We are urging owners to ensure their vehicles are secured with robust locks, immobilisers where possible, and stored in secure buildings or garages. Consider additional measures such as CCTV, tracking devices, and security lighting.
We have also seen an increase in reports of Residential burglaries, with offenders targeting homes for valuables including cash, jewellery, car keys, and high-value electronic items. Please ensure doors and windows are locked, even when at home, and avoid leaving keys or valuables in easily accessible locations.
Crime Prevention Advice:✅ Lock and secure garages, sheds, and outbuildings at all times. Your vigilance plays a vital role in helping us prevent crime. If you see anything suspicious, please report it via 101, online through the Kent Police website, or 999 in an emergency or if a crime is in progress.
Together, we can help make our communities safer and reduce opportunities for offenders. PC Ashleigh Balcombe-Wilson | ||
